Kale chane are power house of vitamins, minerals, fiber and protein. It is a very tasty dry dish from North India usually served as a prasad after ashtami pooja.
Ingredients:-
Kale Chane : 1½ Cup
Onion : 2 Chopped
Tomato : 4 Chopped
Ginger/Garlic Paste : 1 Tsp
Green Chili : 2 Chopped
Red Chili Powder : ½ Tsp
Turmeric Powder : ¼ Tsp
Coriander Powder : 1 Tsp
Garam Masala Powder : ½ Tsp
Hing : ¼ Tsp
Cumin Seeds : 1 Tsp
Salt : As per taste
Oil : 2 Tsp
Water : 4 Cup (as required)
Method:-
Take 1 ½ cup kale Chane and soak them overnight. Boil water in pressure cooker add soaked chane and salt. Cook for 5 whistles then simmer the flame and cook for 10 more minutes. Heat oil in a pan add hing, cumin seeds, chopped onion, ginger garlic paste and sauté till golden brown. Then add tomatoes, green chili, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder and sauté for 3 minutes. Now add boiled chane and mix well. Cover it and cook for 5 minutes serve with rice, puri or prantha.
