Bhindi 'Do' Pyaza recipe with detailed step by step photos. Bhindi Do Pyaza is a North Indian dish made from Okra. The main thing this recipe needs is to double the amount of onion than normal dish needs. And that is what makes it so special. 'Bhindi' is the hindi name for Okra/Ladyfinger and for Onions it is called Pyaz. 'Do' means twice or double in Hindi. There are so many ways to make Ladyfinger but Bhindi 'Do' Pyaza is very easy, delicious and quick to make.
Ingredients for Bhindi Do Pyaza:-
Bhindi : 500 gmsOnion : 4 Big (thick sliced)
Tomato : 2 Chopped
Cumin seeds : 1Tsp
Turmeric Powder : ½ Tsp
Hing : ¼ Tsp
Red Chili Powder : 1 Tsp
Coriander Powder : 1 Tsp
Garam Masala : ½ Tsp
Salt : 1 Tsp (as per taste)
Coriander Leaves : 1 Tsp Chopped
Mustered Oil : 2 Tsp
Method for Bhindi do Pyaza:-
Wipe the bhindi/okra with the help of cloth after wash and cut into one inch long
pieces. Heat oil in a pan, add hing and cumin seeds in it when they crackle add ginger/garlic paste and chopped onions.
Now sauté till light brown, add chopped green chilli and saute again. Now add red chilli powder and turmeric powder in it.
Now add coriander powder, salt as per taste and mix it, now add bhindi/okra and saute it.
Open the led and add garam masala and coriander leaves.

Cover it for five minutes on low flame. Now
add chopped tomatoes mix it well and cook for another two minutes.
Open the led and add garam masala and coriander leaves.
Serve Bhindi Do Pyaza hot with chapati or prantha.
